Course Catalog

Five modules, organized around real movement patterns

Each module below is self-paced and can be studied in any order. The catalog is intended as general education on functional movement, not as a personalized program or a guarantee of specific results.

Module 01

Foundations of Functional Movement

An introduction to the vocabulary used throughout the program: joint positioning, load, tempo, and range of motion, explained in plain language before anything else is covered.

  • What "functional" means in a training context
  • Basic joint mechanics for hips, shoulders, and spine
  • How to read your own comfort and effort level
  • Setting expectations for a self-paced format

Module 02

Carrying & Load Distribution

A closer look at how the body handles asymmetric and symmetric loads, from a single tote bag to a full laundry basket, including posture considerations over longer carries.

  • Single-side versus double-side carrying concepts
  • Core bracing basics for stability
  • Pacing when a load needs to travel a distance
  • Rest strategies during longer carries
Demonstration of a controlled hip hinge bending motion toward the floor
Module 03

Bending, Squatting & Floor Transitions

This module examines hip hinge and squat patterns as they relate to gardening, tying shoes, and getting up from a low seat or the floor.

  • Hip hinge versus knee-dominant bending
  • Getting down to the floor with control
  • Rising from the floor without strain
  • Adjusting range of motion to personal comfort

Module 04

Reaching & Shoulder Mobility

Covers shoulder blade movement, thoracic rotation, and posture patterns relevant to reaching overhead cabinets, car seats, or high shelves.

  • Shoulder blade positioning basics
  • Overhead reaching considerations
  • Rotational movement for behind-the-back reaching
  • Desk-related stiffness and simple counter-movements

Module 05

Walking Endurance & Pacing

General information on stride length, breathing rhythm, and rest intervals for walking longer distances, climbing stairs, or navigating uneven terrain.

  • Stride and cadence basics
  • Breathing rhythm during sustained walking
  • Managing stairs and inclines
  • Building distance gradually over time
How the catalog is structured

Self-paced, equipment-free, and open to revisiting

No equipment needed

Every module relies on bodyweight movement and everyday objects, so there is nothing to purchase before starting.

No fixed schedule

Modules remain accessible indefinitely, allowing participants to move through the material at whatever pace suits them.

Educational framing

Content is designed to explain movement principles clearly, without positioning itself as medical advice or a fitness guarantee.

Open to review

Any module can be revisited as many times as needed, which some participants find useful when returning to a topic later.
